About

I’m an investigative journalist at STAT, where I write long-form features and investigations. My first narrative non-fiction book, on the battle to turn psychedelics into legal medicine, will be published by Bloomsbury in 2025 and is supported by a New America national fellowship.

My reporting on the coronavirus pandemic was recognized by several award nominations: I was a 2022 British Journalism Awards and 2022 Medical Journalists’ Association Awards finalist for an investigation into COVAX, which I worked on with TBIJ, and a 2021 EPPY award finalist for a series exposing huge gaps in Covid-19 healthcare access.

In 2020, I was a Livingston Award finalist for reporting on data harvesting to fuel political propaganda in Brazil. Before STAT, I was a science reporter at Quartz and features writer at The Daily Telegraph.

A Telegraph series I reported on sexual abuse at university successfully pushed the British government to strengthen legal protections for students.

When I’m not reporting, I love swimming, theatre, and hanging out with Jeremy Bentham’s embalmed corpse.
